Cigar City Florida Cracker

Hailing from the land of theme parks florida-cracker-web-2and golf carts, Tampa’s Cigar City brewing is now one of the area’s major attractions. Founded in 2009, Cigar City has won numerous awards and has grown from producing around 1,000 barrels a year, to over 65,000 last year. A recent partnership with Oskar Blues should allow even further growth over the next few years, so keep an eye out for wider distribution of these Florida favorites!

Florida Cracker, one of the brewery’s regular releases, is a Belgian Styler White Ale brewed with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander.

5.5% ABV

Pour: Very light in color. Pours a pale, hazy yellow/gold with a then white head.

Nose: You get the coriander right off the bat, with hints of lemon, and orange.

Palate: Lots of lemon zest, Orange peel,  and banana, with hints of brown sugar and herbs. A slight tart on the finish. Very refreshing.

Overall: I first had this beer while relaxing at the beach. It is absolutely perfect for these hot summer days. Light, refreshing and highly recommended.
